Partnerships and covenants

Through agreements of mutual cooperation with other entities, technology parks, centers and innovation and incubators have been organized as strategies aiming to generate synergies and strengthen joint action of the entities for the improvement of the ICT sector and the national competitiveness increase.

ACATE – ASSOCIAÇÃO CATARINENSE DE EMPRESAS DE TECNOLOGIA (meaning STATE OF SANTA CATARINA TECHNOLOGY COMPANIES ASSOCIATION)


Working together to seek the realization of common interests: ACATE and ABES signed a partnership agreement in 2010 to help develop the software sector and its associate companies, by sharing actions, services and physical space. As of the partnership, the companies associated to ACATE are considered “associate partners of ABES” and may enjoy the benefits provided by the organization. BH-TEC / BELO HORIZONTE TECHNOLOGY PARK – MG

Created in 2005, the BH-Tec results from the partnership of its five founding partners. Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG, Federal University of Minas Gerais), Minas Gerais State Government, Belo Horizonte City Administration, SEBRAE-MG (meaning Brazilian Micro and Small Company Support Service for the state of Minas Gerais) and FIEMG (meaning State of Minas Gerais Industry Federation). It also gets support from Fapemig (State of Minas Gerais Research Support Foundation and from FINEP (Brazilian Innovation Agency). Inserted in the national ecosystem of innovation, regional development and knowledge dissemination, this technology park is a private-law, not-for-profit association that runs scientific, technological, educational and cultural activities. It works as a condominium that houses companies dedicated to investigating and producing new technologies; it also gathers public and private Research and Development centers. CENTRO DE INOVAÇÃO, EMPREENDEDORISMO E TECNOLOGIA (CIETEC, meaning INNOVATION, ENTREPRENEURSHIP AND TECHNOLOGY
CENTER) – SP

Created in 1998, CIETEC is a private-law, not-for-profit association whose mission is to promote development in science, technology and innovation, by fostering the transformation of knowledge into innovative and competitive products and services. Cietec is an organization that manages the Incubadora de Empresas de Base Tecnológica de São Paulo (meaning São Paulo Incubator of Tech-Based Companies), whose office is located in the IPEN/USP at the USP Campus in São Paulo, and which is managed by a Strategic Direction Board comprising members indicated by USP, IPEN, FIESP and ANPEI. As it operates in different areas, Cietec possesses methodologies and expertise to select and follow up new tech-based companies which results in the creation and management of innovation habitats and the promotion of activities and support to technology, marketing and administrative management of startups. CENTRO INTERNACIONAL DE TECNOLOGIA DE SOFTWARE (CITS, meaning INTERNATIONAL CENTER OF SOFTWARE TECHNOLOGY) – PR and AM

It is a tech-based, not-for-profit institution founded in 1992, devoted to the research and development of technologies whose main objective is to optmize the cost-benefit relation within the organizational processes. It relies on multidisciplinary teams that help CITS be an RD&I institution with an active presence in the national market, operating all over Brazil. INCUBADORA DE EMPRESAS DE BASE TECNOLÓGICA TECVITÓRIA (meaning TECVITÓRIA INCUBATOR OF TECH-BASED COMPANIES) – ES

It is a not-for-profit association, created in December 1995, as a partnership between governments, university and corporate entities of the state of Espírito Santo, resulting from acknowledging the importance of promoting the production of highly technological goods and services. NÚCLEO DE GESTÃO DO PORTO DIGITAL (NGPD, meaning DIGITAL PORT MANAGEMENT NUCLEUS) – RECIFE – PE

Porto Digital, created in year 2000 in Recife (PE), is one of the major technology poles in the country. Located in the district of Santo Amaro, it brings in an annual revenue over R$1 billion and hosts more than 250 companies in the sectors of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and Creative Economy (CE), gathering over 7,100 highly-qualified professionals. It is the result of the implementation of public policies through partnerships among private companies, universities and the government. PARQUE TECNOLÓGICO ITAIPU (PTI, meaning ITAIPU TECHNOLOGY
PARK) – PR


This partner of ABES was created in 2003 in Paraná, by Itaipu Binacional, the world’s biggest hydroelectric power plant in terms of energy generation. It constantly produces scientific and technological progress and participates in the regional development, as well as in the process of modernization of the Itaipu power plant. PTI also works in disseminating knowledge, training professionals, and generating companies, jobs and income. REDE PAULISTA DE INOVAÇÃO
(RPI, meaning SÃO PAULO STATE INNOVATION NETWORK) – SP


This entity represents incubators in the state of São Paulo and its mission is to promote the integration of incubators in the state, disseminating entrepreneurship and innovation, potentializing actions for the development of the incubated companies. Website: www.rpinovacao.org.br.


SOFTEX CAMPINAS – SP

This is a Civil Society Organization of Public Interest (OSCIP) that participates effectively in the effort of the SOFTEX community to promote the brand name Brazil-IT+ and contribute to the excellence of the Brazilian software and the consolidation of the region of Campinas as a high-tech pole. Softex offers specialized services, provides resources and incentives for the companies in the city and the region to grow and become competitive, reduce costs and generate qualified jobs. SOFTSUL

Created in 1994, SOFTSUL is a private, civil, not-for-profit, public association, whose mission is to promote the development and training in the software and informatics services industry in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, with the aim to consolidate an excellence technology pole, increase competitiveness and generate business to the ICT companies in the region.
